Kartesia to finance the management buyout of goetzpartners

Kartesia, a European specialist in capital solutions for small and mid-sized companies, today announces that it has signed an agreement to support the management buyout of German consultancy firm goetzpartners (“the Company”).

Headquartered in Munich, goetzpartners is an independent advisory firm that provides advice on business verticals such as strategy, commercial due diligence, M&A, and transformation. The company combines corporate finance and management consulting to help clients in a variety of industries and situations. The company was founded in 1991 and has grown into a leading European advisory firm.

This transaction will see the company being bought out by the management, a team of highly experienced MDs led by Axel Meythaler, Dr. Christian Wältermann, Dr. Gerrit Schütte, Gerwin Weidl and Christian Muthler, supported by Kartesia. It represents a significant milestone for the business, ensuring business continuity for its clients and employees and unlocking a next phase of development under the existing management. The capital from Kartesia will support the growth of the historical areas of core expertise, as well as expansion in new verticals and geographies.

The capital was deployed from Kartesia’s Credit Opportunities (“KCO”) strategy. The deal team at Kartesia included Tomás Neuhaus, Niclas Paulin and Vinzent Zimmer.
