Basile Gerber joined Kartesia in 2017 and is Head of Luxembourg & Portfolio. Basile is also Conducting Officer in charge of Portfolio. In his role, Basile oversees investment monitoring, valuations and portfolio performance. Next to that, he is also responsible for raising Leverage for Kartesia’s funds by sourcing and structuring Asset-based Leverage and Equity-Bridge facilities. Basile also serves on several boards across the platform, including the firm’s Executive Committee, Chairman of the Investment Committee in Luxembourg, and director of various related entities.

 

Basile brings more than 15 years of experience in Private Credit and Financial modelling across multiple asset classes.

 

Earlier in his career, Basile worked 5 years at Apollo Global Management in the Asset Management division, covering European non-performing loans. Basile was part of the European Investment Bank’s restructuring division, focusing on operations outside Europe. He also worked in Deloitte Consulting’s Capital Market division.

 

Basile holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Science in Management from Grenoble Ecole de Management.
