Kartesia provides €32 million investment to Spanish telecommunications infrastructure provider Comfica
Kartesia is pleased to announce the completion of a €32 million investment in Comfica, which will be primarily used to facilitate the acquisition of part of peer company, Liteyca.
Founded in 1991, Comfica specialises in the installation and maintenance of fixed and mobile telecommunications infrastructure, alongside other business lines that include automation and robotics services and security solutions. Since its founding, the business has seen continued growth and has taken a market-leading position in Spain, where it is one of the key suppliers to Telefonica and other major telecoms operators, under the leadership of President Valentin Rueda and CEO Jorge Huerta.
With the acquisition of Liteyca, Comfica consolidates its position as one of the leading suppliers for telecoms operators in Spain and internationally, with a presence across six countries and more than 2,500 employees. The continued expansion of the business will also provide it with the scale and efficiency to remain at the forefront of upcoming industry trends, including the deployment of 5G technology.
The deal team at Kartesia was led by Jaime Prieto, Founding Partner and Javier Castillo, Associate Director.
Jaime Prieto, Founding Partner at Kartesia, commented: “We are pleased to partner with Comfica and contribute to its consolidation as one of the leading suppliers for the telecoms market both in Spain and internationally. The company is well positioned to benefit from upcoming developments in the telecommunications market, like the introduction of 5G networks.”
Valentin Rueda, President of Comfica, added: “We are very excited about partnering with Kartesia, which was able to provide the perfect financing solution for our current expansion plans, and one that will allow us to continue with our market consolidation plans.”
