KARTESIA SHOWS ITS SUPPORT FOR WATERLOO FOODBANK
Since 2018, Kartesia, has committed to organizing an annual Volunteering Day that involves one of the offices joining forces with a local NGO or charity.
It was with the greatest regret that Kartesia had to cancel this special day last year due to the pandemic and so this year the London office was very excited to volunteer at the Waterloo Foodbank to spread some Christmas spirit by helping to sort their donations before they were distributed to those in need within the local community. Kartesia's team contributed by sorting donations by type and expiration date, packing Christmas gifts for local children and making family toiletry kits containing shampoo, soap and toothpaste.
The Waterloo Foodbank, which helps around 750 families in Lambeth and Croydon, is part of the Trussell Trust's network of 428 foodbanks working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities and across the UK. Between 2020-2021, The Trussell Trust's network of foodbanks provided more than 2 million emergency food supplies and considerable support to people in crisis in the UK, of which 980,082 went to children.
Kartesia is very happy to have been able to contribute to this initiative and thanks the Waterloo Foodbank for its positive actions and impact.
