Unique X secures an investment from Kartesia to accelerate growth

Kartesia, the European specialist provider of capital solutions for SME companies, is pleased to announce that it has provided an investment of up to $80m to Unique X, (“the Company”), a leading provider of innovative digital cinema software solutions and services. The capital for this transaction is drawn from Kartesia’s Credit Opportunities strategy.

The funding will enable Unique X’s management team to strengthen existing partnerships and deliver their ambitious expansion plans. This will include the launch of new products and technologies, with significant growth into new territories. Additional growth capital will be used to further accelerate the implementation of the strategy though the use of AI and mining of data.

Unique X provides an interoperable suite of proprietary cinema software and content solutions for advertising, theatrical distributors, and cinema owners. The software is currently deployed in 42,000 cinema screens across 90+ countries. Every year, the Company delivers over 200,000 movies and 1.1 billion advertising spots worldwide. Unique X’s end-to-end solution digitises cinema management, with SaaS modules enabling centralised control over every aspect of film exhibition. Additionally, the Company manages high-security, direct delivery of feature films, trailers and live content to cinemas via broadband connectivity.
